Use euinvoice from your AI assistant

Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another AI assistant to your euinvoice account and let it prepare invoices for you to approve (Pro).

What it does

With euinvoice Pro you can connect an AI assistant to your account. You hand it a document, for example an app-store payout report or a list of hours, and it finds or creates the client, prepares the invoice and shows you a preview. Nothing is saved until you approve the preview. The finished invoice is a normal euinvoice invoice: it uses your profile, your invoice numbering and the correct VAT treatment, and you can download the PDF right away.

It works with any assistant that supports remote MCP connectors, such as Claude, ChatGPT and Claude Code.

Before you start

You need a euinvoice Pro account. You can connect with a free account too, but the assistant will only be told that Pro is needed.

Fill in your supplier profile in Settings first (name, address, tax IDs, VAT ID, IBAN). The assistant cannot change your profile, so whatever is there ends up on the invoice.

The address your assistant connects to is: https://api.euinvoice.app/mcp

Connect Claude

In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector. Name it euinvoice and paste https://api.euinvoice.app/mcp as the URL. Leave the advanced settings empty.

Click Connect. A euinvoice page opens: sign in if asked, check that it says Connect Claude, and approve. You are sent back to Claude and the connector is ready.

Connect ChatGPT

In ChatGPT, add a custom connector (app) in the connector settings and use https://api.euinvoice.app/mcp as the URL. Depending on your plan, custom connectors may first have to be enabled in the settings.

ChatGPT then opens the euinvoice sign-in page. Check that it says Connect ChatGPT and approve.

Connect Claude Code or another local agent

In a terminal, run: claude mcp add --transport http --scope user euinvoice https://api.euinvoice.app/mcp

Start a new Claude Code session, run /mcp, choose euinvoice and authenticate. Your browser opens the euinvoice page, which says Connect an app on this computer. Approve it only if you just started this yourself.

Other agents that support remote MCP servers connect the same way: give them the URL and approve the sign-in.

What the assistant can and cannot do

It can read your supplier profile, clients and saved invoices, check EU VAT IDs against VIES, add and edit clients (it asks you first), prepare invoice previews, save an invoice after you approved its preview, and give you the PDF through a download link that is valid for 10 minutes.

It cannot delete anything, change an invoice that is already saved, change your settings, profile or billing, or send email. These limits are enforced by euinvoice itself, not only by the assistant's instructions.

Invoice numbers come from your own numbering. If a number was used in the meantime, the assistant is told and shows you a new preview instead of saving under the old number.

Amounts and currencies

The assistant never converts currencies. It uses the amounts exactly as they appear in your document. For app-store payout reports it uses the euro amount the store actually paid. If a document has no total in the invoice currency, it stops and asks you.

Every line in the preview shows where its figure came from, for example the row and column of the report, so you can check it against the original before approving.

Reverse charge is applied automatically when the client is in another EU country and has a VAT ID, the same way as in the web app. Check the VAT line in the preview.

Example

Attach your monthly payout report and write: Here is my Apple payment report for March. Create the reverse-charge invoice to Apple, dated the last day of the month, and put the payment date in the notes.

The assistant shows you the client, every line with its source, the total and the VAT treatment. Reply yes to save it, then ask for the PDF.

Security and disconnecting

euinvoice only lets you approve connections that return to Claude, ChatGPT or an app on your own computer. A request that would send access anywhere else is shown with a warning and can only be denied.

To remove an assistant, open Settings and choose Disconnect next to it under Connected apps. Its sign-in is revoked and it cannot reconnect without your approval.

Whatever you share in the chat, such as the documents you upload, is processed by your assistant's provider under their terms. euinvoice only receives what the assistant sends to your account.
